Rowe's mountain air is beautiful. It's also freezing.

Rowe sits above the Deerfield River valley, climbing toward the Berkshire highlands. The town was once known for Yankee Rowe, the nuclear plant. Today it's known for quiet mountain living and some of the coldest winter temperatures in Franklin County.

The housing is a mix of older homes and properties that were built or improved during the plant's heyday. Many have been updated, but the heating systems don't always reflect that. Oil and propane dominate, and proper sizing is critical at this elevation.
